After graduating from NCCU (North Carolina Central University) with a Bachelors Degree in Biology I progressed into a solid background within the Scientific field. I was a Cytogenetic Technologist and Research Scientist for most of my career straight out of college. Then after having my beautiful daughter I moved into the Pharmaceutical field where I now work while I pursue my passion for design with my company Nelbi Designs.

Jennifer’s vision began in 2009 , and inspired by the birth of my daughter. Nelbi Designs was named after my daughter as I became a new stay at home mom for the first time in my career. Leaving my scientific career was a big decision while residing in NYC.  But I decided early on in my pregnancy that it was time for me to pursue my long time passion for technology and design.

Jennifer is highly skilled in developing a number of different website designs with Squarespace, Wordpress, and Wix platforms. She is also skilled with design tools such as Figma and Mockup. Jennifer is also a part of a Podcast with on of her friends and past coworker that is on Apple Podcast and Spotify were she also mainly edits the video part of the show using DaVinci Resolve for the Mac.

In her free time Jennifer loves hitting the trails for a run. She has ran in few organized runs in the North Carolina area and eventually wants to challenge herself for a Marathon on done the road. She also takes advantage of spending a lot of time with her family as her daughter is a high schooler now and wants to soak up every activity she can with her daughter as possible.
